Encouraging word for Authors

Somewhere between your writing a book and getting it sold, your mind is working overtime. Trying to figure out which way is the best way to get it out, so that people can see your work. I know for me my mind was always working to get things done, I never seem to get finished. I found new ideas and avenues that sparked my interest, and I was off and running again.  I`m not one who is afraid of new ideas, or one who will stop writing, because I feel defeated, discouraged, or even overwhelmed. I used those things as stepping stones, to begin to launch me into better more workable ideas.
If something doesn`t seem to be gaining me the response or profits I seek for my books, then I simply change my direction.  Let me say this, I have ran in many directions.  Some worked some didn`t, I won`t lie to you. I have talked to writers and authors that had gone through this, as well as myself.  So am writing this hoping we can all avoid this pitfall, and enjoy this journey.
Writing a book in the first place is a marvelous journey, but learning how to market them, and publish them can also be a journey.  One that brings us as much peace, as we found when writing the book.  So to find peace in the learning process, you have to take in only what you can process, and glean from what you have learned.
If you try to take in more than you can process.  You could become Frustrated, discourage, and overwhelmed, at all the posts on what to do and what not to do. Frustration can set in when you try to it all in a day. Allow yourself to relax and soak it in, and learn from those that offer their advice. There are skilled authors out there willing to teach you the tricks of the trade.
Knowledge is good, but I found myself reading all I  could, on books, publishing, marketing and profits.  I was a speed reader, reading as much as I could, as fast as I could. By the time I slowed down or stopped reading, I was exhausted, and over whelmed.  I had only confessed myself, and this made it harder to figure which way I should go. What and how I should proceed.
Helpful advice was grand but I needed to learn how to use wisely the knowledge I had taken in.  Knowing when something was not my avenue to promote my book. Taking the time to check each avenue out carefully.  Then applying the knowledge I had gained, kept from going in circles.
I’m not saying not try every avenue, because I did, but don`t let yourself get overwhelmed.  Sometimes we learn by trial and error. I`m learning to take it all in and enjoy the process of the entire journey, from start to finish, in peace.  From writing the book thought the learning process, to enjoying the profits of the sale, this is my journey.  I intend on enjoying it.
So I write and when I write, I write books. I love the process of creating characters, and plots of the mysteries.  Mystery books are my passion.  I do hope that you will do the same, continue writing, because it`s your passion.  Enjoy the entire journey from start to finish.  See your dream come to life, and spring up before your eyes.
